Second CREAMS LTTA Completed Successfully

International Workshop on Virtual Reality Exhibition Design
Have a look at the International Workshop on Virtual Reality Exhibition Design, hosted by our CREAMS partners at Shenkar College of Engineering, Design and Art from August 26-29, 2024. Fourth Transnational Meeting of CREAMS in Cyprus
β We are delighted to share highlights from the pivotal 4th Transnational Meeting of the #CREAMS project, hosted by Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) on February 16th, 2024, under the esteemed #ERASMUS+ program.
βIntegral to the meeting was the dissemination of knowledge and insights gained thus far. Partners engaged in insightful discussions to assess the efficacy of the framework and tools developed for virtual exhibition creation, paving the way for further refinements in the final development cycle.
β As part of a multiplier event concurrently held at the University Campus, the CREAMS project presented an overview of its main objectives and current achievements. Participants had the opportunity to delve into ongoing activities and results pertaining to the design and development of open-source tools tailored for arts students, enriching their understanding of the project's scope and impact.

2 Journal Papers Accepted
We are happy to announce that 2 journal papers from the CREAMS team have been accepted for publication. The first paper, entitled "Comparison of Extended Reality Platforms and Tools for Viewing and Exhibiting Art", has been accepted at the Digital Applications in Archaeology and Cultural Heritage Journal, and the second paper, entitled "From Physical to Virtual Art Exhibitions and Beyond: Survey and some Issues for Consideration for the Metaverse", has been accepted at the Journal of Cultural Heritage. Third Transnational Meeting
The Third Transnational Meeting of the CREAMS project, hosted by Cognitive UX GmbH, has been completed with great success! π The two-day event, was held on the 15th and 16th of May 2023 in Mannheim, Germany. The goals of the meeting were to fineβtune the course and training material, webinar development, streamline learning, teaching, training activities and discuss development activities with regards to the design and development of the CREAMS framework and accompanying tools!

Proof of Concept 1 is done!
The first Proof of Concept technology of CREAMS has been successfully implemented and evaluated following a user-centered design approach. The feedback received from the evaluation, will be the input for the new development phase of Proof of Concept 2 that is starting! Second Transnational Peroject Meeting
The project consortium has completed the Second Transnational meeting hosted by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Among other things, the agenda included updates on the main outcomes, current status and planning of the intellectual outputs, updates on the dissemination and exploitation plan, and planning of the upcoming multiplier event. This has been a great chance for the project partners to meet in person, exchange #innovative ideas, and benefit from each others' expertise. The partners are looking forward to the next meeting!
Workshop at Euromed Conference

The workshop is open for all the partners and other researchers to submit their papers. The event will provide an opportunity for stakeholders and all those interested to learn about the recent developments in virtual exhibitions to share, exchange and discuss their expertise as well as practices in this field. The event will focus on identifying technologies of digitization, documentation, digital preservation, dissemination, and presentation bringing together researchers and practitioners that will present best practices, success stories and use cases from various leveraging issues on virtual museums, digital collections, technologies, and open-source tools. Emphasis will also be given to identifying ways forward, especially in relation to synthesizing existing approaches, as well as improving or adapting them for specific needs or contexts, through the exchange of suggestions offered by participating stakeholders.

After a voting process between 10 different candidate designs for the project logo, we came to a final design that reflects our team and the aesthetics of the project
May Monthly Meeting
On May 10th, the CREAMS project team had their monthly virtual meeting. The partners gave updates on intellectual outputs, tasks, milestones and dissemination activities.
Project Monthly Meetings
On March 15th and April 12th, the CREAMS project team had their first 2 virtual meetings. The partners talked through their Intellectual Outputs and their progress. Concerns were addressed, plans were made, and fruitful discussions took place!
Project Kickoff Meeting
On the 17th of February 2022, the CREAMS project was initially launched with six European partners, the University of Patras (Greece), the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece), Cognitive UX GmbH (Germany), the Cyprus University of Technology (Cyprus), the Shenkar College of Engineering, Design and Art (Israel), and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (Norway).
CREAMS Project Approved by the European Commission [January 2022]
The project has been approved by the European Commission with a total funding of β¬291,310 and it's duration will span two years (February 2022 - January 2025). The project is coordinated by the University of Patras (Greece), with collaborating partners the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece), Cognitive UX GmbH (Germany), the Cyprus University of Technology (Cyprus), the Shenkar College of Engineering, Design and Art (Israel), and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (Norway).
